Click “Book Now” and follow the link to choose your preferred day, time, and therapist. You can review therapist bios before selecting. To reserve your appointment, you’ll be asked for basic information: your name, email, phone number, and credit card number. You will not be charged at booking; you may pay with any method at checkout.
-
Our online booking system requires a credit card number to reserve your appointment. You will not be charged until checkout and can use your saved card or any other payment method. We cannot see your card number; it is encrypted and securely stored by Stripe, our trusted credit card processor. Stripe is one of the world’s largest payment processors and is used by millions of businesses, from small online creators to companies like Google and Zoom.
-
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Because our therapists rely on scheduled appointments for compensation, we appreciate your respect for their time and our business. If you miss an appointment, please contact us; otherwise, we may reach out to collect payment.

We do not offer couples massage in the same room because we do not have space for two tables. However, we can usually schedule two people at the same time in separate rooms. These appointments can be difficult to find and book online, so we recommend calling the front desk for help. Please contact us about one week in advance if you would like two appointments at the same time. If you book two appointments under one profile online, we may call to confirm that the double booking was intentional.

Yes. Gift certificates can be purchased online and are sent by email. If you prefer a paper gift certificate, please call our front desk; we can take payment and either mail it to you or have it ready for pickup. If you have already purchased a gift certificate online, we can still issue you a paper gift certificate if you wish. When purchasing online, the recipient email is sent immediately unless you choose a future delivery date. You may also send the certificate to your own email and forward it whenever you choose.
-
Gift certificates are stored in our system as a dollar amount and can be used for any treatment type. They do not expire. Any remaining balance stays in our system and may be used later or applied toward a tip. To use your certificate, schedule an appointment and bring it with you to apply at checkout.

We accept Spa Finder gift certificates. We recommend checking the balance on your Spa Finder gift card before bringing it in. These cards are usually sold in $50 denominations. Most can be swiped like a credit card, though older versions may need to be redeemed by us through the Spa Finder website. Spa Finder gift cards do not store remaining balances, so we suggest using any leftover amount as a tip for your therapist and making sure your checkout total matches the card balance as closely as possible. Simply book any appointment, and we will redeem your Spa Finder gift card at checkout.

Generally, yes, but coverage depends on your health care plan. Bodywork of Bend is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Pacific Source, but not every insurance company. We recommend contacting your insurer to confirm whether we are on their approved provider list and what your plan covers. Even if we are out of network, you may be able to submit an itemized receipt for reimbursement. If we are in network, please complete your intake form after booking and upload photos of the front and back of your insurance card. Our billing specialist will try to confirm your benefits before your appointment, but this can take time. If your benefits have not been confirmed by checkout, we may ask you to pay at that time. Once benefits are confirmed, we will issue any refund due based on your coverage, minus any required copay.
-
No. Bodywork of Bend submits receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement. Insurance payments can take weeks or months to process. In some cases, if your insurance company does not pay—such as when you have reached your maximum massage benefit—we may ask you to reimburse us. Please confirm that you have remaining benefits before scheduling. Bodywork of Bend does not have access to your full benefit amount and may not learn that benefits are exhausted until after billing.

To have massage covered through an injury, MVA, PIP, or Workers’ Compensation claim, you must follow your insurance provider’s required process. If the process is not completed correctly, you may be responsible for payment. Because each provider may have different requirements, we recommend contacting your insurance company before booking. In general, the process may include the following steps:
1. A claim is opened with an insurance company, either yours or the other party’s. You will likely be assigned an adjuster who manages the claim and serves as your main contact. Work with your adjuster to confirm and access your benefits.
2. Your insurance company may require a doctor’s assessment. At that appointment, ask whether a massage prescription can be provided. Doctors do not always prescribe massage, and the number of approved visits is at the doctor’s discretion. For some insurance companies the max authorization is two massages per week for four weeks, but this may vary.
3. Once you have a prescription, contact us. We will ask you to create a profile and complete an intake form, including your prescription if you have one. After we receive your intake form, we will contact your adjuster to confirm benefits and then follow up with you to begin scheduling.
4. Some insurers, including SAIF and Majoris, require a preauthorization form. To complete it, we may need details from your intake form, such as your adjuster, doctor, and prescription information. Authorization can take up to five business days. If you are in direct contact with your adjuster, they may know before we do when you are approved to schedule.
5. When your authorization or benefits end, the process may need to start again: obtain a new doctor’s prescription, submit for preauthorization if required, wait for approval, and then schedule additional appointments.
*Most insurance companies cover up to four 15-minute units of massage, or 60 minutes total. Any time beyond 60 minutes is typically the client’s responsibility. You may schedule any type of massage with any available therapist at a time that works for you.
Some insurance companies provide a dollar amount toward care, while others approve a set number of visits within a specific time frame. In either case, you are responsible for payment if you receive massage outside your approved benefits. Please stay in close contact with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage and make sure you receive the benefits available to you.
-
Yes, we charge insurance companies more than clients who pay at the time of service because insurance billing involves additional costs and time. These costs can include network participation fees, billing company fees, and long payment timelines. Insurance payments can take weeks, months, or even years to be paid in full. The higher insurance rate helps offset the extra labor, administrative work, and delay involved in billing insurance.
-
For some high-deductible plans, the insurance company sets the rate we must charge. That amount is applied toward your deductible.

We offer discounted massage packages of 4 or 6 sessions, available in 60- or 90-minute options. To purchase a package, ask your therapist at checkout or call us. You can apply your package to your massage session at checkout.
-
Yes. Massage can be received throughout pregnancy, and we are happy to coordinate with your healthcare professional to tailor care to your needs. We use the bodyCushion support system to help keep you comfortable during each trimester and relieve aches and pains related to pregnancy. Our experienced therapists provide supportive care during and after pregnancy, and a massage package can be a helpful option for ongoing treatment.

Our therapists are trained in a wide range of massage and bodywork styles. To choose the best fit, read each therapist’s bio and consider your goals for the session. If you’re unsure, we recommend booking a “Massage Therapy” session. Please complete your intake form with your body’s history and arrive early so you can discuss your needs with your therapist. All of our therapists are skilled professionals who listen carefully and tailor each session to you, regardless of the style of massage you book.

Massage can support both casual and professional athletes. Sports massage is tailored to your sport, training schedule, and the muscles you use most. It may include deep tissue techniques, stretching, and work to improve circulation, flexibility, and recovery time. Deep tissue massage uses focused pressure to relieve muscle tightness, improve movement, and reduce pain from injuries or repetitive strain. If you’re unsure which to book, complete your intake form with your body’s history and arrive early so you can discuss your goals and needs with your therapist, regardless of the style of massage you book.

Red marks from cupping usually fade within a few hours to a few days, depending on your body. Cupping uses suction to gently lift the skin and tissue into the cups, which can increase circulation, relieve tension, and support the body’s natural healing response. Cups may remain in one area or be moved across the body. Our cupping massage combines this technique with massage in the areas you choose, helping address lasting muscle tension and encourage recovery.
